Inside Practice During the Pandemic | Harrodsburg Basketball 2020-21 This archival footage offers a glimpse inside Campbellsville University Harrodsburg men’s basketball practice during the 2020-21 season — a year unlike any other in the program’s history. With the COVID-19 pandemic still shaping everyday life, college athletics looked and felt different. Masks, social distancing and other precautions became part of the daily routine as players and coaches worked to continue practicing, competing and staying connected as a team. The footage follows Head Coach Austin Sparrow leading the Pioneers through practice and provides a unique look at what an ordinary day inside the Harrodsburg basketball program looked like during an extraordinary period. Beyond the basketball itself, details that once seemed temporary — masks on the sideline, players keeping their distance and the different rhythm of practice — now make the footage an important time capsule of the 2020-21 season. For the Pioneers, it was another chapter in a young program learning to adapt. Practices continued, relationships continued to develop, and Harrodsburg Basketball continued moving forward despite circumstances that affected nearly every part of the college athletics experience. Years later, this footage preserves more than a basketball practice. It captures a specific moment in time and provides a firsthand look at how the Pioneers navigated one of the most unusual seasons in the history of college athletics. This footage is preserved as part of the Campbellsville University Harrodsburg Athletics Archive, documenting the games, people, places and moments that shaped Pioneer Athletics.
