Two Guinness World Records®. One Night. One City. | Sandusky Witches Walk® 2025 in Review

In October 2025, Sandusky, Halloween Capital of Ohio set two Guinness World Records® in a single night: Largest Witch Costume Contest in the world with 970 participants, and Largest Witches' Dance in the world with 727 participants. This is what Sandusky looks like when it rises together. The Sandusky Witches Walk® is a 501(c)(3) charity festival that began in 2009 as a grassroots pub crawl and now draws more than 15,000 attendees from 26 states, 5 countries, and 83 Ohio cities. Every ticket supports local causes including CASA of Erie County, the Erie County Senior Center, and after-school meal programs.
