Last Checks at -24° | Biggest Beaver, Surprise Otter & Breaking Camp

The final checks of our 10-day ice camping trip brought brutal cold and unexpected surprises. With temperatures dropping to -24°F, we ran the last trapline sets, pulled more beaver catches, and even ended up with a surprise otter before finally breaking camp and hauling everything off the lake. But the trip wasn’t completely over… a few days after getting home, I went back to help pull the remaining traps.
