In this aec+tech Talks session, the team at SWAPP and Woolpert's design technology lead show what it takes to bring AI into architectural production, with a live demo of Frank, SWAPP's AI Architect, inside Autodesk Revit.
Speakers:
🟣 Eitan Tsarfati, CEO & Co-Founder, SWAPP
🟣 Nicholas Martz, Director of Design Technologies, Woolpert
🟣 Guy Teomi, Vice President of Customer Success, SWAPP
Guy runs Frank live inside Revit: adjusting grids to the crop, saving a prompt as a reusable script, dimensioning interior and exterior walls with a preview before anything gets placed, checking the result against a color-coded QC legend, and fixing room tags against Woolpert's own firm guidelines. Nicholas walks through the "forever problem" that started the partnership, reorienting a fully annotated prototype building, and how that went from two to three weeks of cleanup down to a couple of days.
The conversation gets into why so many AI initiatives in AEC stall, why Woolpert skipped pilot projects and committees and started with a small team on a live job, and what happens to a firm's data once a plugin like this is connected to an LLM. Audience questions cover Forma, dimensioning on details, confidence scores, security, custom Revit families, and modeling.
What you'll learn:
Which repetitive Revit tasks are worth automating first: grids, dimension strings, tags, and project reorientation
How Woolpert rolled Frank out with one small team on a live project, and why they avoided pilots and committees
How Frank checks its own output, with a color-coded dimension legend and firm-guideline compliance checks
What happens to your Revit data, and how customer data stays siloed once the plugin is connected
Who this is for:
Architects, design technology leaders, BIM managers, computational designers, firm principals, and anyone deciding what AI actually gets rolled out in Revit at their practice.
