Patsy Cline DARED Dean Martin to Sing His Song Live — Nobody Was Ready For THIS... December 1962. Patsy Cline was in the middle of a 35-night run at the Mint Casino in Las Vegas, singing her heart out every night to rooms full of gamblers who wouldn't stop talking. On her one night off, she walked across town to the Sands to see how the King of Las Vegas did it. That same night, sitting at the front table for the very first time, were two people nobody in the room recognized: a barber and his wife from Steubenville, Ohio. Dean Martin's mother and father. When Dean turned the Italian line of "Return to Me" into a joke, Patsy noticed the little lady at the front table quietly look down at her hands. And when Dean invited Patsy up for a bow, she took the microphone — and dared the coolest man in America to sing it again. No glass. No jokes. No funny accent. Just the way he sang it before he was famous… to his mother. What happened next silenced the most glamorous room in Las Vegas. And months later, after Patsy was gone, an envelope from Nashville arrived at Dean's house with a folded piece of hospital notepaper inside — and a promise Patsy had kept without ever telling him. This video is a dramatized retelling inspired by the lives and careers of Dean Martin, Patsy Cline, Angela and Gaetano Crocetti, Charlie Dick and Ken Lane. Dialogue and certain events have been recreated for storytelling purposes. #DeanMartin #PatsyCline #ReturnToMe #RatPack #KingOfCool #TheSands #LasVegas #CountryMusic #ClassicMusic #MusicLegends #EmotionalStories ETİKETLER Dean Martin, Patsy Cline, Patsy Cline Dean Martin, Return to Me, Dean Martin mother, Dean Martin Italian, Dean Martin Sands, Patsy Cline Las Vegas, Patsy Cline Mint Casino, Patsy Cline story, Dean Martin story, Rat Pack, King of Cool, Torna a Surriento, Ken Lane, Charlie Dick, classic country, music legends, emotional celebrity stories, old Las Vegas
