When Yoda Realized Something was WRONG With the Clones (CW Year 1)

Long before Order 66, Jedi Grand Master Yoda had already begun to distrust the Republic’s clone army. In this Star Wars Legends story from the early Clone Wars, Yoda recognizes a terrifying danger in the clone troopers’ unquestioning loyalty after a disastrous mission involving an elite Republic commando named Zag. While Mace Windu admires the clones’ devotion, Yoda fears their obedience could one day be turned against the Jedi Order. Years later, Zag would participate in Order 66, proving just how justified Yoda’s suspicions had been. Explore this forgotten piece of Star Wars lore and how Yoda recognized one of the greatest threats to the Jedi long before Darth Sidious unleashed the Great Jedi Purge.
