I Reached Torkham Border… As an Indian 🇦🇫🇵🇰 ( This Border Will Shock You )

I travelled to the Torkham Border — one of the most important crossing points between Pakistan 🇵🇰 and Afghanistan 🇦🇫 — to witness what is happening on the ground. In this documentary, I take you to the Afghanistan–Pakistan border and show you the situation around Torkham, where thousands of Afghan nationals have been returning from Pakistan. I also visit the reception/holding areas on the Afghan side and document the movement of families arriving with their belongings after leaving Pakistan. The recent developments have significantly increased the movement of Afghan returnees through Torkham. According to IOM data, more than 2.68 million Afghan nationals had returned from Pakistan between September 2023 and August 15, 2026, including both voluntary returns and deportations. The United Nations has also projected that around 1.1 million Afghans could return from Pakistan during April–December 2026, adding further pressure on communities and humanitarian services inside Afghanistan. In this video, I show the border crossing, the movement of Afghan families, the reception facilities, the surrounding camps and the reality faced by people arriving from Pakistan. UNHCR currently provides assistance and registration services to eligible returnees arriving through Torkham at the Omari Reception Center. This is not just a story about a border. It is a look at the people, families, migration, geopolitics and humanitarian situation unfolding between Pakistan and Afghanistan. I travelled here to see this reality with my own eyes and bring you an on-ground documentary from one of the region’s most sensitive borders. Watch the complete documentary to see what Torkham looks like today and what is happening to the Afghan families arriving from Pakistan. 🇮🇳 India → 🇵🇰 Pakistan → 🇦🇫 Afghanistan Torkham Border Documentary | Afghan Refugee Return | Pakistan-Afghanistan Border #TorkhamBorder #Afghanistan #Pakistan #AfghanRefugees #AfghanistanPakistan #Torkham #AfghanReturnees #BorderDocumentary #TravelDocumentary #IndiaToAfghanistan
