Ocarina of Time has six sages and six medallions, and five temples. Rauru, the Sage of Light, hands you his medallion the moment you wake up: no key, no boss, no dungeon. So where is the Light Temple? Fans have long said it was cut, with a Wind and an Ice Temple. That story has a source, and Miyamoto and Aonuma have said what was dropped. Recorded before the remake's release on 5 November 2026: everything said about the remake is as of 17 October 2026. WHAT THIS VIDEO DOES NOT CLAIM That a Light Temple was cut, or that it was not: I found no maker who says either. That the remake has, or lacks, a new temple: as of 17 October 2026 Nintendo's pages say neither, and the one new place it has shown, the Hall of Fallen Heroes, is not called a temple. The game's lines are read from the recording shown; Hyrule Historia is quoted as Zelda Wiki quotes it. The 1997 and 1999 interviews are translations kept by fans; the N-Zone quote is third hand, and the arithmetic after it is mine. The late 1997 build is as The Cutting Room Floor describes it, and only about half of it was recovered. The 2020 leak and the fan restoration are told as Zelda Dungeon and The Cutting Room Floor report them: named, not linked, not shown; the pictures under that part are Ganon's Castle in the 1998 game, and say so. The last chapter is my reading. FOOTAGE AND MUSIC Napkin Lore researched, wrote and edited this video; the narrator is a synthetic voice reading our script. The 1998 game's footage is from World of Longplays' longplay of its GameCube release, played by Spazbo4, used under the permission its site gives (https://longplays.org/infusions/faq/f... the copy used is its own, at the Internet Archive (link above). The remake's footage is Nintendo's own, without its sound: from Nintendo of America, "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct 9.8.2026" (   • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – The...  ), "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Mr. Aonuma Gameplay Demonstration" (   • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Mr....  ) and "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Nintendo Direct 6.9.2026" (   • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Nin...  ); and Nintendo Japan's introduction video of 14 October 2026 (   • ゼルダの伝説 時のオカリナ 紹介映像  ). The clips are silent but for two short stretches of the 1998 game's own sound. The music is generated. Napkin Lore is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Nintendo or World of Longplays.
