Example 6.2 illustrates computational micromechanics. You will learn how to calculate material properties for the composite in terms of the properties of the fiber and the matrix. We use 3D modeling of a unit cell, also called RVE. You will also learn how to apply periodicity conditions and to run a Python script to automate post-processing. Additional details in the textbook "Finite Element Analysis of Composite Materials Using Abaqus" Multilingual CC available. Textbook: https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS... You can teach "Composite Materials Design" and assign online homework to your students. 112 problems available. The results at 11:32 should be labeled MPa, not TPa. Or better yet, since the dimensions are in microns, the properties at 2:14 should be given in TPa, so that the labels at 11:32 would be correct.
