We accidentally queued into Ranked Verge 6v6, we were trying to do mash. lmao. This is like my 3rd Verge game of Stego, and he's really easy to play in my opinion. You just have to have a really good positioning and you can deal massive damage. This game I learned that I can't just 1v1 an inferno. You can see me run away after I realized it. kek. Tips from playing Stego for like 3 games: -Position yourself above, just enough to be able to shoot your main weapons without clipping it on the ground infront of you (especially true if you're aiming at targets below, you have to get out of your turret form if you want to shoot that far below) -Corite provides fluid armor regen buff, so if you see a patch of crystals near a swarm/cluster of enemies, that's a good place to set up camp like I did at the end of this video to score a triple kill. -Use your shield to block for your teammates like I did for the last two extractors, or to disrupt enemies, like I did with the enemy welkin about three times. -Stick with your team, so you don't have to get solo'd out because stego generally doesn't do well in 1v1 especially upclose unless the enemy doesn't have fluid armor. -Time your shots, be better than I was because I shot a lot of nothing a lot. -Your right click, Rapid Rocket Pod can delete people mid to close range when they don't have fluid armor or are low on health. So consider just getting really close like I did with that inferno at the end scoring that triple kill. -Stego wastes a lot of energy in jumping, it takes 4,400 energy to jump but 1,150 energy to ascend. So don't be jumpy like I was in this game, I found that out. It's better to balance being slow and managing his energy. -You can tank melee hits, they're annoying buzzing flies until you're less than 50% health or if there's multiple people on you. If you have a healer in your pocket, let the melee waste their time and laugh. -Beware of a pinaka or inferno that knows what they're doing. (this is from my experience as a pinaka, and my experience as a Tricera getting shotgunned to the face) -This game I learned that Inferno's split emitter can target my micro missiles (didn't know, I don't play inferno either). Which means you can use your micro missiles to intercept Inferno's split emitter from hitting your teammates as much, thereby playing defensively. Or you can just wait until he's done with his ability, then rain down micro missile hell fire. -Micro missiles are great for squishy fliers that like to stay low, and great for luminaes that are low as well.
