A wealthy Iowa farmer mocked a 30-year-old female mechanic at a crowded farm auction, certain she would fail. But when his wife suddenly collapsed during a fierce winter storm, the woman he humiliated became his family's only hope. Clara Bennett accepts a seemingly impossible challenge: clear three miles of snow-covered farm roads before dawn using an aging John Deere 4555 tractor. With a powerful blizzard approaching, mechanical problems, dangerous snowdrifts, and a ticking deadline threaten her chance of winning. But everything changes when Harlan Brenner's wife, Ruth, collapses at their isolated farmhouse. Will Clara sacrifice her dream to help the man who humiliated her? And can she still win the John Deere 4555 before sunrise?
