SEATTLE IS STUNNING! Exploring the Emerald City | Your Time With Andy
Seattle surprised me. A spectacular waterfront, beautiful historic neighborhoods, striking architecture, charming streets, lively pubs, and some of the most breathtaking city views in America.
Welcome to Seattle — the Emerald City of the Pacific Northwest!
In this immersive, purely visual journey, I take you through Seattle's famous landmarks, hidden corners, historic districts, vibrant neighborhoods, and spectacular waterfront. No talking, no commentary — just Seattle as I experienced it.
DAY 1 — THE WATERFRONT, OLD SEATTLE & NIGHTLIFE
Our journey begins at Harbor Steps before winding through Post Alley and the famous Gum Wall, into the bustling Pike Place Market and past the original Starbucks location.
From there, we explore Seattle's magnificent waterfront with its iconic piers, the Seattle sign, waterfront parks, and sweeping views across Elliott Bay.
We then step into the city's historic heart: Pioneer Square, the charming Occidental Square, and the atmospheric streets of old Seattle, including a stop at the B Library Bar.
As evening falls, we head to Capitol Hill, exploring Chophouse Row, its intimate passageways, bars, and Seattle's after-dark personality around the Capitol Hill.
DAY 2 — ICONIC SEATTLE, QUEEN ANNE & BEAUTIFUL BALLARD
The second day begins with the architectural wonder of Seattle Public Library, followed by the downtown shopping district around Nordstrom and Westlake Square.
We board the historic Seattle Center Monorail for a ride to Seattle Center, home of the legendary Space Needle.
Next comes one of Seattle's most unforgettable panoramas from the Kerry Park, with its postcard-perfect skyline views.
After soaking up the scenery, we stop at the lively Queen Anne Beer Hall before heading to one of my favorite neighborhood in Seattle: Ballard.
Here, we explore the charming streets around Ballard Avenue NW and NW Market Street full of character, beautifully preserved buildings, independent shops, cafés, restaurants, and pubs.
We continue to the botanical gardens and the fascinating Ballard Locks, where we witness an extraordinary sight: sea lions hunting salmon in the waters. Ballard Locks are an engineering marvel that helps align the height indifference between waters of Puget Sound and Lake Washington.
After that we visit the Nordic History Museum. Nordics have played a defining role in building the character of Ballard.
And finally, we return to Ballard to experience the neighborhood's wonderful evening atmosphere.
