3. The Weight He Carried

[Verse 1] You carried our shame Each lash, each stain When the sky went dark Love held You there Thorns pressed in Your brow But You would not bow You still pressed on With the cross You’d bear [Pre-Chorus] Every step You chose On that hill so steep and tall All that crushing weight Was carried by the Lord of all [Chorus] How could we not say yes How could we not say yes When You gave so much more How could we not say yes How could we not say yes To the weight You bore, Lord [Verse 2] Your blood poured the way Through that darkened day So mercy could break in And wash our fear The price was so high Dragged through dust to die Now You ask for our hearts To bring them near [Pre-Chorus] If You could carry that With Your eyes on joy to come Then what is in our hands When the saving work is done [Chorus] How could we not say yes How could we not say yes When You gave so much more How could we not say yes How could we not say yes To the weight You bore, Lord [Bridge] Take all we are It is a small yes Next to the cross Next to Your kindness Take all we are We will not hold back You bore the weight And we will follow [Chorus] How could we not say yes How could we not say yes When You gave so much more How could we not say yes How could we not say yes To the weight You bore, Lord #worshipmusic #trapworship #worshiprap #trapgospel2026 #gospelmusic
