how to use the tongue - bansuri tonguing techniques

In this video I am discussing the use of tongue in bansuri playing. I met many students who have started learning by themselves and completely overlooked the tongue's role in playing bansuri. It is crucial for a crisp and clean sound. Also plays a role in pitch and tuning. But mostly it acts similar to the finger strumming the guitar, or the hammer of the piano hitting the piano string and making the sound. It is our way of starting the bansuri. We always use the tongue to start a note. TUUUU and there we go. Make sure to strengthen it and build the stamina because you're gonna need it.
