Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io. The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes? Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. Step Right Up is a mod created by Shiverline Studios and directed by TheRoyalTony, JordoJams, and BreezyMelee. It features 8 songs based on various indie horror games and the creepypasta Smile Dog; all contained within an abandoned theme park hosted by an undead rabbit mascot character. The mod is separated into two sections: Step Right Up: Adventure Isle contains the first 6 songs and is set in Adventure Isle, while Step Right Up: Frightmare Hill takes place in a separate section of the park known as Frightmare Hill and contains the two Slay the Princess songs. Step Right Up: Adventure Isle was announced during Funk Kast 2 on July 12, 2024, and released on July 16, 2024 to widespread critical acclaim. Often considered one of the best mods of 2024 and among the best horror mods of all time, it was lauded for its art direction, music, and originality, though various bugs present in the pre-hotfix build were criticized. Frightmare Hill: Chapter 1 was released on March 28, 2025. It received mixed reactions, with many once again praising the art direction and music, but criticizing its lack of polish and additional bugs, as well as an unskippable advertisement for Team Horizon. The Grand Reopening, a rerelease of the original mod containing the remaining Frightmare Hill chapters, reworked menus and art, and an overhaul of NASU was announced in Funk Kast 3. Additional future content has been confirmed.
