Eva Thedy Shango (also credited as Eva Thedy-Sango or Eva/Sango) is an African rumba songwriter and musician primarily known for his collaborations with L'Orchestre Leopard.L'Orchestre Leopard was a prominent Congolese and Kenyan rumba band active during the 1970s. They recorded and pressed several of their most notable tracks under East African record labels like ASL (Afro-Sound Limited) in Kenya."Seketa": A notable track credited entirely to Eva Thedy Shango as the primary writer. It features the classic African Rumba / Soukous style that defined the era."Congo Tokokutana" / "Ngai Leki Ya Caseau": A highly collectible 7-inch vinyl single released in 1971 through the ASL Record Label in Kenya.Other Band Releases: Aside from working with Eva, the orchestra released popular regional Afro-funk and rumba tracks like "Kunusa Nusa Jikoni" and "Ba Barons Ya Bibembe".Their joint work blends Congolese Rumba with localized East African rhythms, characterized by interlocking acoustic and electric guitars, driving horn sections, and multi-part vocal harmonies.
