The Candle Went Black

Song Five - The Candle Went Black is part of The House Beyond the Veil | A Gothic Halloween Opera — an original dark gothic opera by NanaNocturne. In The Candle Went Black, the heroine enters a sealed chapel where the last candle still burns beside the names of women the estate tried to erase. As the flame darkens and finally turns black, a hidden doorway and a voice calling her name reveal that the past is no longer content to remain buried — and that answering it may carry a price.
