I thought that I should look back at one of my favorite Mario games (next to Super Mario Bros. 3) ever made. This game was awesome back then, and this game is still awesome now. Playing this on my SNES, again, there are some graphical glitches, but the only ones I see are on the map (sometimes), and some dialogue after beating a Koopaling. I don't know if there's a problem with the cartridges or my SNES. Not every cartridge I own does this. My Super FX Chip games work fine. Maybe my SNES is just showing its age. Please note, I am NOT aiming for every Dragon Coin, since they only give you 1ups in the SNES version, but I will be showing all 96 exits. Anyways, We begin by doing all of Yoshi's Island. These are the levels shown in this part:
Yoshi's House: Not really a level, but a little place where you can feed Yoshi berries, along with reading the note that Yoshi left.
Yoshi's Island 1: If you go to the left on the map, this is where your adventure starts. This is a simple, and fun level, introducing new species to the franchise, such as Rexes, Banzai Bills, Koopa Troopas without their shells, Chargin' Chucks, and Jumping Piranha Plants. This is a very simple stage. Beating it takes you to...
Yellow Switch Palace: In here, there's a P-Switch that will fill the room with Coins. Going into the pipe will take you to a giant switch that spreads Yellow Blocks all over Dinosaur Land.
Yoshi's Island 2: This is the first appearance of Yoshi, everyone's favorite dinosaur buddy. Depending on what Yoshi eats, he can do different things. We'll get to that later, though. This is another pretty simple stage. It's a nice place to test out Yoshi's abilities.
Yoshi's Island 3: The first aerial level in the game. You need to be careful here. You need to jump from platform to platform to block to block, making it to the end of the stage. It reminds me of 1-4 from Super Mario Bros. 3, only not as annoying.
Yoshi's Island 4: This was a very simple stage. There's water at the bottom of the stage, but it really doesn't do much, but slow you down. This level was a lot easier with Yoshi. This level also has Pokeys, which can only be killed by Yoshi.
#1 Iggy's Castle: The first castle stage of the game. It's pretty simple. You get to climb on cages, punching Koopas off of them. I think this stage was really fun. You also need to avoid being crushed in the second room. In the final room, you battle Iggy, who is pretty easy. You battle him on a tilting platform, surrounded by lava. You need to simply stomp on him (Or throw a fireball at him) when needed. Just wait until it tilts to the area he's closest to falling in. Iggy attacks with fireballs. After being defeated, you will save the first Yoshi egg.
