La collaborazione nasce ufficialmente nel 1996 a Milano dove Cataldo si è trasferito dall'età di 12 anni. I loro brani terminano con un rombo dei motori della Harley-Davidson. I due DJ si dedicano anche alla composizione e alla produzione fondando due case discografiche, Soulstar Records e Little Angel Records, sviluppando collaborazioni con artisti come Kerri Chandler, Kenny Bobien, Jocelyn Brown, India, Marie Tweek, Lem Springsteen o remixando brani come quelli di Gloria Gaynor. Consolidata la collaborazione con Kay Rush, DJ di Radio Monte Carlo con il programma di musica deep e soulful house Unlimited di cui hanno prodotto le raccolte fino ad Unlimited XVI e la raccolta Present House Classics 3. Nel 2011, dopo 15 anni di attività, il duo ha pubblicato un doppio album dal titolo No Compromise. In seguito al posto di Cataldo è subentrato Stefano "Stewie Slow" Proietti; tuttavia il duo ha mantenuto il nome. HARLEY&MUSCLE is currently made of Flavio Romaniello assisted by Stefano ‘Stevie Slow’ Proietti, and has been collaborating since 1996 with the world’s greatest artists like India, Kerri Chandler, Marshall Jefferson, Lem Springsteen, Robert Owens, Gerideau, Dawn Tallmann, Billy Preston, Jimi Polo, Duke Brown, Christopher McCray, Nicole Graham, Marie Tweek and Byron Stingily. Furthermore, the duo remixed artists of the likes of Gloria Gaynor feat. The Trummps, Loleatta Holloway, Kevin Yost, Dj Spen, Jocelyn Brown, Alexander O’Neal, Dan Curtin, Dennis Ferrer, Axus feat. Naomi, The Rurals, Brs, Hideo Kobayashi, Julius Papp, Physics, Kenny Bobien, Dino&Terry, Troublemen Dj Fudge, Spanka and Miguel Graca. Their productions and remixes have been pressed by the world’s most famous record labels such as Guidance, i! Recordings, Distant Music, Bombay, Loveslap!, Diaspora, Peng, Bumpin’ City, Deep Touch, Black Vinyl, Kif, NeoDisco, Spanka, Irma Unlimited, Slip’n’Slide, Waako and Purple Music, among others. They own and manage the German labels Soulstar Records and Little Angel Records on which they produced many music compilations sold worldwide like ‘Cafè Solaire’, ‘Deep House’, ‘Frank Milano’, ‘G Lounge Milano’, ‘Radio Montecarlo New Classics’, ‘Addicted to House’, ‘Hi Jazz’, ‘Luxury Grooves’, ‘Large Music’, ‘Transport Recordings’, ‘A Lounge Supreme’, ‘Smash Disco’, ‘Seasons Recordings’, ‘Savannah’, ‘Jon Cutler in the Mix’, ‘Soulshine Soulful Session’, ‘Oriental Garden’.
