In this clip from The Bible Show, Sam and Will take up the skeptical claim that the Virgin Mary is just another copied myth, since other ancient stories also feature virgin births. They point out that Scripture promises a virgin birth going back to Genesis 3:15, then ask why humanity seems hardwired to know rescue must come from outside itself. Walking through Adam, Cain and Abel, Noah, David and Solomon, they note our track record of failure, mention the Enlightenment, the French Revolution and Germany, and explain why Jesus must be born of a virgin, fully God and fully human, without a sinful nature.
