You wanna know whats cooler than this song? THE TITLE !!! "bad resolution." in a sense of some tragic ending (that's how this song sounds to me), and in a sense of everything being so heavily bitcrushed. Oh and also the absurdly dissonant chord at the end :) This was made for NGGCC 2026 Round 2. The theme was easier than in the first round: just ambient composition. I finally used Output - Thermal vst after a loooong time of not using it. It's was kinda the best part about making this one because Thermal is one of my favorite plugins OAT. AND I EVEN USED "Solar Signals" PRESET FROM IT!!! I have such a long history of spamming Thermal with this preset literally EVERYWHERE. It's basically bitcrush with some pre distortion, but it's cool af, and it's what gave this bitcrushed downsampled vibe to the whole track.
