I built this just to show that building a MIDI controller doesn’t need to be expensive. The enclosure is usually the most expensive part, so I used a shoebox. Inside it: An Arduino Pro Micro — about $3 A breadboard — about $2 Eight arcade buttons — around 25 cents each Two joysticks — about $1.50 each When you add everything up, it’s around $10… maybe $11.
