Solo hike the world’s MOST BEAUTIFUL LAKE | LAGUNA 69, PERU

Laguna 69 or Lake 69 is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. This stunning blue lagoon is situated 4,600m/15,000ft above sea level up in Huascaran National Park of the Peruvian Andes. Nestled among 10 snow-capped peaks, we were to surprised to find that it had a full restaurant, heaters and even HOT SHOWERS! About this hike: The Laguna 69 hike is typically done as a 24km/15mi there-and-back day hike. We chose to do the 2D/1N route solo and spend a night at Refugio Peru. This route let's you get to Laguna 69 much earlier than the main tours and you can have the place to yourself for a few hours. You also have the added benefit of seeing Laguna 69 from above, a view that few of the day-hikers get to experience.
