Mumbai to Jawai 🏍️ | Chasing Leopards in the Land of Giants What happens when seven friends, motorcycles, an XUV700 and one destination come together? A road trip from Mumbai to Jawai — and a whole lot more than just leopard spotting. We set out from Mumbai, taking the NH48, passing through the Gandhinagar Ring Road, and then making our way towards Palanpur → Abu Road → Jawai. Our destination was Thour Nature Resorts, our base for exploring the incredible landscape of Jawai — a place where massive granite hills, open wilderness, villages and wildlife all exist together. And yes… the entire trip was planned around one thing — spotting the elusive Jawai leopard. 🐆 From the long highway ride and endless open landscapes to the crazy 4x4 off-roading, climbing rocky hills, squeezing through impossibly tight trails and tackling steep descents, the safari itself became an adventure. Then came the moments we had travelled all this way for… Leopard sightings. 🐆 We experienced both morning and evening safaris, watched the landscape wake up around us, saw villagers going about their everyday lives in leopard country, and got a glimpse of the fascinating coexistence between humans and wildlife in Jawai. And somewhere between the highways, rocky mountains, safari jeeps, chai stops, laughter and leopard sightings, this became much more than a road trip.
