Why YouTubers hold microphones like THIS

Why do YouTubers hold their clip-on mic? I explain the technical and psychological benefits behind this YouTube Look. When my previous voiceover video went crazy, many of you asked why I wasn't using the clip on my DJI Mic 2. I break down the reasons of holding a wireless microphone, including a warmer "voiceover" sound, reducing room echo, and blocking out background noise. Plus why a windshield is your best friend even indoors, and how "vamping" with a handheld mic gives you more authority on camera. Whether you are using a lavalier mic or a lapel mic, these simple techniques will help you prioritize your voice over ambient room tone. Will this improve your YouTube audio quality?
