Israel Keyes: The Contractor’s Secret Life | True Crime Documentary

Israel Keyes ran a construction business in Anchorage, Alaska. Behind his reputation as a dependable contractor was a hidden life that investigators would trace across America. A missing teenager. A stolen debit card. Buried supplies and unanswered questions. This Israel Keyes documentary follows the disappearance of 18-year-old Samantha Koenig and the evidence trail that led investigators from Alaska to a traffic stop in Lufkin, Texas. Explore the FBI investigation, the buried caches recovered in Alaska and New York, and the murders of Bill and Lorraine Currier in Essex, Vermont. When investigators learned about an abandoned farmhouse connected to the case, demolition had already sent its debris to a landfill. Through FBI records, evidence photographs and recorded interviews, we examine how Keyes concealed his crimes, what investigators established and what remains uncertain. Keyes died in custody before trial. The FBI’s estimate of 11 victims is not a confirmed total, and this documentary distinguishes documented evidence from his unverified claims. Which breakthrough mattered most in catching him: the surveillance footage, the stolen debit card or the traffic stop? Share your thoughts in the comments.
