AFC Bournemouth Stadium Update | 4th October 2026 | Vitality Stadium Redevelopment

Take a bird's-eye look at the latest transformation taking place at AFC Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium, as Stunning Drone takes to the skies to capture the progress of the redevelopment around Dean Court. In this latest drone flight, filmed on 4th October 2026, we take a close look at the building work taking place around the stadium, including the developing new stand structures, corner infill areas, extensions and supporting infrastructure. From above, you can really appreciate just how much the stadium and its surrounding areas are changing. The redevelopment is one of the most ambitious projects in AFC Bournemouth's history. The club's plans will transform the Vitality Stadium from its current capacity of around 11,300 into a modern stadium capable of accommodating more than 20,000 supporters. The project includes a new South Stand, extensions to the North and East Stands, infilling of the stadium corners, improved hospitality areas, new media facilities, upgraded supporter facilities and significant changes to the stadium perimeter and access arrangements. Watching the Stadium Take Shape The aerial view gives football supporters a perspective that's difficult to get from outside the stadium. The latest construction work is clearly visible, with the corner developments and structural changes beginning to give an indication of how the completed stadium will look. The redevelopment is being carried out in phases, allowing AFC Bournemouth to continue playing at the Vitality Stadium while construction takes place. The programme includes the construction of the new South Stand, corner infills and future expansion of other parts of the ground. The ultimate plan is for the redevelopment to create approximately 20,200 seats, significantly increasing the stadium's capacity. Recent reports have highlighted substantial progress around the ground, including work on the South-East and North-West corners, new structural steelwork, turnstile areas, perimeter infrastructure and extensions to the existing stands. For a club that has risen from the lower divisions to establish itself in the Premier League, the redevelopment represents another major step forward. AFC Bournemouth have become a regular presence in England's top flight after their promotion to the Premier League in 2015. Their continued growth has created the need for improved facilities and greater capacity, particularly as the club now competes at the highest level of English football and has ambitions to establish itself among the country's leading clubs. The Vitality Stadium has long been known for being one of the smallest grounds in the Premier League. The redevelopment is set to change that dramatically, while retaining the character and identity of Dean Court. Stunning Drone Aerial Footage At Stunning Drone, we specialise in professional aerial photography and 4K drone videography, capturing locations, buildings, construction projects, landscapes and events from a completely different perspective. Stadium projects are particularly interesting from the air because drone footage can show the scale and progress of construction in a way that ground-level photography simply can't. By documenting the stadium at different stages, we can also create a visual record of how a major development evolves over time. This latest flight around AFC Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium captures another moment in that transformation. Whether you're a Bournemouth supporter following the redevelopment, a football fan interested in stadium architecture, or simply fascinated by large-scale construction projects, this footage gives you a unique aerial view of what's happening at Dean Court.
