03-04 Sep 2026: 284 Electra and cubs during Brooks Falls Trip

284 Electra is a successful sow at Brooks River. She has 2 cubs this year and is the mother of 901 who has her own cub. 284 Electra walked down the beach on my first day, delaying the start of our Bear School talk (required for all visitors). Later the family scavenged in the grass under the bridge. The next day she brought her cubs to the lawn by the bridge providing closeup views of this handsome family. 164 Bucky got yelled at for coming too close and he moved to the other side of the river to continue fishing. This day was warm and the bears retreated to their favorite places for a nap making for a quiet afternoon.
