The Clientele, 'Bonfires on the Heath' @ St Pancras Old Church, 26.11.25

I hadn't seen The Clientele since before Covid! It was time to rectify that and see them in the season that is made for them before it turned: autumn. I'd never been to St Pancras Old Church and I was worried like most churches used as gig venues, that it would be freezing. This one was actually heated! I could take my coat off! Hallelujah! The church is so small it doesn't have pews, but individual chairs put out with a small space at the back for additional people to stand. The show was in two: the first half was a set of lesser played or never played songs. The second set was The Violet Hour album, which has just been re-released. 'Bonfires on the Heath' is such an evocative song, I can almost smell it.
