This lesson covers Learning Outcome 1 of Unit 5, Maintaining a Safe Working Environment, from the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. You will learn the critical factors that keep a workplace safe: temperature, lighting, space, ergonomics, lifts and access, using the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and HSE Approved Code of Practice L24. We justify the full range of welfare facilities, including toilets, washing, drinking water, rest areas and first aid.
