Zay El Hawa (زي الهوى) – Abdel Halim Hafez | Live Performance | Torath Ensemble

*زي الهوى | Zay El Hawa – Abdel Halim Hafez (عبد الحليم حافظ)* One of the most beloved masterpieces of legendary Egyptian singer Abdel Halim Hafez, Zay El Hawa (Like the Wind) tells a moving story of love, longing, vulnerability, and heartbreak. Written by Egyptian lyricist Mohamed Hamza and composed by the celebrated Baligh Hamdi in 1970, this timeless song captures the beauty and fragility of love, from the joy of being together to the fear of losing someone dear. Performed live by *Torath Ensemble* during our September 2026 concert in Virginia, this rendition celebrates the enduring legacy of Abdel Halim Hafez and the extraordinary musical partnership of Mohamed Hamza and Baligh Hamdi, bringing one of Egypt's most cherished classics to contemporary audiences. *Original Song Credits | العمل الأصلي* Original Artist | غناء: Abdel Halim Hafez – عبد الحليم حافظ Lyrics | كلمات: Mohamed Hamza – محمد حمزة Composition | ألحان: Baligh Hamdi – بليغ حمدي Year | السنة: 1970 *Discover Torath Ensemble | اكتشفوا فرقة تراث* Website: https://www.torath.us Subscribe to our channel for more live performances celebrating classical Arabic music, poetry, and cultural heritage.
