मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार और SIR (Special Intensive Revision) के खिलाफ 'People Against SIR' के बैनर तले ‘People’s March to Reclaim Democracy’ का आह्वान किया गया है।

Delhi is preparing for a major People's March on October 23, 2026, against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Organised under the banner of 'People Against SIR', the nationwide protest has been named 'People’s March to Reclaim Democracy'. The organisers have raised the slogan, “Har Haath Mein Tiranga, Har Gali Mein Jantar Mantar.”
Prominent figures associated with the movement include senior advocate Prashant Bhushan, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait, actor Prakash Raj, economist Parakala Prabhakar, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and AISA President Neha Bora.
Student organisations, youth groups, farmers, workers, women's organisations and civil society groups have been called upon to participate in nationwide demonstrations.
The protesters are demanding the removal of CEC Gyanesh Kumar, cancellation of the SIR exercise, restoration of eligible deleted voters, reforms in the Election Commission appointment process and free and fair elections.
The INDIA Bloc has also been invited to support the October 23 People's March.
Will thousands of protesters gather in Delhi? Will Delhi Police allow the march towards the Election Commission? Could the protest become a turning point in India's political landscape?
