It was founded in 1995 in Björklinge, Uppsala, Sweden. Formerly a trio, later a solo project by Christer Lundström. Former members were Jens Kvisler & Mickael Svensson. Christer mentioned in an interview made in 2003 on psygarden.be that he views it as "we are still 3 members, but I am the only one of us active right now". Since 2013, maybe earlier, Jens Kvisler has been active in the project again. Profile: Label based in Uppsala, Sweden, that releases psychedelic trance by local artists. Label is run by Battle Of The Future Buddhas. Schlabbaduerst releases are distributed direct from the label (via their now-defunct website) and via their BandCamp site, with the exception of CD's 002 and 005, that saw some limited distribution. According to label manager David Tingsgård, catalog numbers 009 and 010 are reserved for upcoming pink and orange compilations. Schlabbaduerst-style music making: 1. We dont give a shit about clean sounds, we´re not fucking Toto (ewww...), we´re punk rock! 2. We do care for psychedelic and weird sounds. Strongly. 3. Sometimes we use mastering as a way to destroy the sound even more. We intend to destroy all sonic systems. 4. Sometimes we dont bother to clean the samples. A little extra hiss in the background is just psychedelic. = Yes we are lazy. 5. Bah! 6. Most sounds do have a thought behind, its probably supposed to sound the way it sounds. 7. If you think it doesnt sound right, thats probably what we wanted to achieve. 8. If you think it doesnt sound proper or nice, thats definitely what we wanted to achieve. 9. The word is a combination of the kanji 木:ko; tree and 魂:lady; soul/spirit. It is believed that the Kodamas are peaceful beings and that they share their wisdom with those who, in addition to communicating with them, show respect for the environment.
