Touhou Improvisation - Eternal Shrine Maiden

As always, not a true improvisation, but I'm tired of putting 'part-improvisation' or something like that in the title. One of the very first tracks in the history of Touhou, it consists of a simple yet rather melancholic melody. Because it's in C minor consisting of ZUN's favourite 4 chords (I, V, VI, VII or correct me if I'm wrong here, my theory is n00b), it now becomes my favourite 4 chords to randomly spam too. At certain points I had this urge to link with other C minor themes (like Septette, as I've done before) but then I sort of changed my mind. However in retrospect I think I still played too quickly and vigourously with this one, considering the emotion it's supposed to bring...maybe I'll incorporate this into a longer medley next time. Recently I've been listening to a lot of PC-98 themes, mostly unknown except to relatively hardcore Touhou fans. Even then, they usually require a good arrangement to bring out the beauty of their melodies. Like this one, I heard it off Magnum Opus' arrangement. Circles should arrange more PC-98 themes, though understandably they'd be less popular, but then again, I've kinda had enough of U.N.Owen appearing in every other Touhou arrangement album.. :/ Played by: JLam
