The night fused the thunderous Janissary band—kettledrums, cymbals, zurna—with gentle Sufi chant, creating a soundscape that echoed the empire’s martial grandeur while guiding participants into dhikr. Sheikh Bahauddin’s guidance invited the audience to surrender to the Divine, the rhythmic pulse of the drums grounding the heart as the chants lifted it toward the heavens.
