The Deck Chef - Archeology 101 - How To Barely Refurbish A Precon

🍳 Welcome, Decking Diners, to The Deck Chef! Today, we’re grabbing our brushes, breaking out the shovels, and heading to the dig site for Archaeology 101—an upgrade of a Commander precon that, much to my surprise, was already pretty darn close to perfect. Rather than tearing the original recipe apart, this is about figuring out what actually needs changing when a precon already knows exactly what it wants to do. This deck has a surprising number of axes to play on, giving us plenty of different game actions to take as fill our graveyard, exile useful spells, generate Spirits, recur our archaeological finds, and continually turn yesterday’s discoveries into tomorrow’s advantage. There’s almost always another artifact to uncover, another trigger to exploit, or another piece of history waiting to be unearthed. Best of all, this deck is remarkably difficult to keep buried. Even when our board gets wiped away or our plans collapse around us, Archaeology 101 can recover as quickly and efficiently as a risen Spirit emerging from an ancestral dig site.
