*********Jagnath Mahadev Mandir********* Gaimukh is a small village located in Thane West and is also a famous pilgrim centre. It houses *a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva which comes in the limelight every Mahashivratri - the festival of Shiva. A beautiful temple located on a small hill at Gaimukh on Ghodbunder road, Thane. It is also known as Jaganath Mahadev Mandir. Gaimukh Temple has a beautiful view of green mountains one side and a long creek other side. Gaimukh Temple, also Jagnath Mahadev Mandir is located aside of Ghodbunder Road near Gaimukh Village. Its above the road which has a very steep climb but short one. You may miss it as there is no board down indicating the Temple name. So keep watching left for a steep slope. It's a big Shiv Temple overlooking the Thane Creek and mountains. One of the peaceful lord Shiva (Mahadev) temple located in Gaimukh Thane (W). It is about 15 kms away from Thane station. There are various buses that halt at Gaimukh. You can reach here by public transport (bus), auto, Ola or Uber. This place is not very crowded and hence you will feel fresh. This place is above the road level and it's on approx. 70-80 mtrs elevation. There is a separate road for taking your car till top. You will get a good view of ghodbunder road from top. Very nice temple with beautiful sceneric beauty from the top. There is regular aarti happens in morning and evening. A must recommended place to visit, away from city crowd and rush. The Gaimukh Choupathy is nearby from this place. ************Gaimukh Choupathy************ Coming from Thane, Gaimukh Chowpatty is a great place to visit and shoot photos. The sunset looks beautiful from this place and for a delightful experience, the sky changes color quickly as the sun decays behind the mountains or beyond the bay. This place is good for for some time pass and also to enjoy free time with your family and friends. There are pretty decent food stalls around the area so if you ever get hungry would also get good food as well. A peaceful place to go during the sunset time. Pleasant wether with breezing wind will definitely blow your thoughts to a intelectual level. Boating is available and the floating hotel is amazing attaraction.
