When I planted a few Oda seedlings in December, I got a surprise when one of the seedlings had dark cotyledon leaves. I knew that the Oda had been crossed with another pepper, but I didn't know what. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the F2 generation produces. I planted a few of those yesterday, so we should have some seedling to look at in a few weeks. I've given some thought to where the plant was in the garden. Then after tasting one and giving it some thought, I suspect that the Oda pepper probably crossed with one of my F3 Black Pearl project peppers. That is one of my favorite pepper projects, so that makes me even more excited about what the F2 generation might produce. It's going to be a fun year. Let me know what you think about this pepper. Thanks for watching!
