What If Stannis Baratheon Came to Ned Stark's Aid in King's Landing - Part 2

What if Ned Stark sent word of Cersei Lannister's betrayal to Dragonstone weeks early? Stannis Baratheon sails into Blackwater Bay before King Robert dies. With Stannis crowned on the Iron Throne, Ned returns to Winterfell, only to be summoned back when Lord Tywin Lannister marches thirty thousand western swords toward the capital. Now Ned and Stannis must hold the Seven Kingdoms together and defend the Red Keep against the armies of Casterly Rock. At the Mud Gate, Ned Stark and King Stannis brace for siege against Tywin Lannister and Gregor Clegane. Robb Stark's victory over Jaime Lannister at the Whispering Wood might stall the western host, but Renly Baratheon is marching eighty thousand southern spears toward the city gates. In the Red Keep, Cersei sits in chains. Can Ned temper Stannis's harsh justice before it tears the Seven Kingdoms apart? On the battlements of King's Landing, Ned Stark stands beside the new king. Stannis will not bend, and Ned will not break his word. Across the hills, thirty thousand Lannister campfires burn in the dark as the first siege horns sound.
