[SEAT PILOT, 4K] MiWay - Route 48N: Erin Mills (New Flyer XDE40 2405)

2405 is part of an 82 hybrid bus order placed by MiWay in 2023 as direct replacements for the remaining D40LFRs in service (units 0721-0725, 0801-0844 and 0901-0925). They are the first units to come equipped with permanent driver shields, which will be retrofitted onto existing buses in the future. 2405 is one of a few select units piloting a new type of seat padding material, offering riders to provide feedback on the existing moquette-style padding in comparison to textured vinyl, a type of seat padding already present on other Canadian transit agencies.
