Your child is hurting, and you would do anything you could to help them. Maybe you’ve prayed, cried, asked God again and again, and you’re carrying the pain of watching your child go through something you cannot fix for them. In Matthew 15, a Canaanite woman came to Jesus because her daughter was suffering. She cried out for mercy, but at first Jesus answered her not a word. Even when the disciples wanted her sent away, this mother kept coming. She worshipped Him and cried, “Lord, help me.” Jesus ultimately recognized her great faith, and her daughter was made whole. This message is for the parent who is carrying something concerning their child that feels bigger than what they can handle themselves. Sometimes one of the hardest parts of being a parent is realizing that loving your child doesn’t mean you have the power to fix everything they are facing. But you can bring them before God. We’re going into Matthew 15:21–28 and looking at a mother who refused to stop seeking Jesus on behalf of her daughter.
