Jesus & Krishna: Conversations by the River | When Two Teachers Meet The conversation by the river continues. Krishna remembers the question Jesus left hanging between them: Who belongs inside the circle of our love? Jesus answers with a story. A traveler is making his way along a lonely road when trouble leaves him wounded and in need of help. People pass by. Then someone unexpected stops—a stranger, someone from a community separated from his own by history, identity, and social boundaries. The stranger tends his wounds, carries him to safety, provides care, and gives his time and resources to someone he has never met. Jesus turns the question around: Who became a neighbor to the wounded man? Krishna immediately sees where the story leads. The circle has begun to widen. He brings another perspective from the Bhagavad Gita: the possibility of learning to see beyond the distinctions human beings place between one another. Social position, group identity, familiarity, and outward differences can shape the way we first encounter someone. Wisdom invites the eye to look deeper. Their conversation moves between two questions: Who is my neighbor? And Who will I become a neighbor to? As they talk, familiar circles appear—family, community, religion, nation, “my people” and “your people.” These identities can give human beings connection and belonging. Then someone is lying beside the road, and compassion asks what we will do with the person standing before us. Jesus brings the story of the stranger who stopped. Krishna asks how we learn to see another being. Together, their conversation invites curiosity about what happens when compassion reaches across the boundaries people inherit and carry. This series explores the teachings of Jesus and Krishna through wonder, imagination, curiosity, story, and music. Jesus draws primarily from the canonical Gospels, while Krishna draws primarily from the Bhagavad Gita. Each meeting beside the river offers another opportunity to encounter their teachings and follow the questions wherever they lead. As the conversation quiets, Krishna asks Jesus something more personal: “When you look at me, what do you see?” Jesus answers with another question: “Perhaps that depends on what you mean by ‘me.’” The bansuri and cello meet again. The river keeps moving. And another conversation is waiting. 🌊🪷✨ This song is part of Jesus & Krishna: Conversations by the River | When Two Teachers Meet, a musical exploration imagining conversations between Jesus and Krishna as they sit together by the river and explore spiritual teachings, human questions, and the places where their wisdom meets, differs, and invites deeper reflection. 🎶🙏 Follow their conversations through the full playlist here:    • Jesus & Krishna: Conversations by the Rive...   🌿✨ If this song inspires a remix, please credit the original and link back to this channel so more fellow travelers can discover the music.
