For nineteen years, Ranger Calvin Yates has carried a small card inside his uniform containing seven rules for anyone entering the Brannock Highlands. Stay on the trail. Count your group. Never answer when the forest calls your name. Never open the door after three knocks. And above all… never acknowledge that there is one more person than there should be. A hiking party of six enters the mountains expecting a quiet three-day trip. But before long, strange things begin appearing along the trail—an abandoned knife, a voice calling from the trees, something following them through the fog, and a seventh figure that nobody remembers inviting. Some rules are written to keep people safe. Others exist because someone already learned what happens when you break them. If you enjoyed the story, subscribe to Echo Horror Files and let me know in the comments: Which of the seven rules would be the hardest for you to follow? Turn off the lights. Put on your headphones. And listen carefully. #Creepypasta #HorrorStories #ScaryStories #Horror #TrueScaryStories #ScaryStoriesToFallAsleepTo #WildernessHorror #ForestHorror #RangerHorror #RulesHorror #BackwoodsHorror #EchoHorrorFiles #Unexplained #CreepyStories #HorrorNarration
