Cyclone Vaianu - Bay of Plenty, NZ - April 12 , 2026

Vaianu was a sub-tropical cyclone that brought 70km/h (40 mph) winds to eastern parts of the North Island. There were reportedly gusts up to 150km/h (90 mph) in some places. Lots of tree damage, road closures, and power outages with this one.
