Greetings everyone…🍀 Today I would like to share the story of one of our recent graduates, Şuayip Erkmen. When he was only 44 years old he started experiencing rigidity in his left leg, as well as slowness of movements, which led to his “Young-Onset Parkinson’s Disease” diagnosis. Once an avid walker, Mr. Erkmen reached a point where taking a single step became a struggle. When Mr. Erkmen reached out to us with persistent complaints, our thorough assessments revealed that medication alone was no longer effective, making Deep Brain Stimulation a suitable treatment path. On November 20th, 2025, we completed Mr. Erkmen’s Deep Brain Stimulation operation. 3 weeks later, on December 10th, 2025, he came into the clinic for his follow-up appointment. There, we had the pleasure of witnessing Mr. Erkmen’s newfound freedom in his movements. Şuayip Erkmen, whom had been longing for his daily walks during his illness, is finally able to walk with ease. He now approaches life with a renewed hope. I wish for a healthy, serene, and active life for Mr. Erkmen. May he always have this smile on his face and never lose his revived energy…🌿 #DeepBrainStimulation #DBS #MovementDisorders #Neurosurgery #DrAliZırh Individual results from surgical or interventional procedures may vary.
