The Norbulingka Institute, located near Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh, India, is dedicated to preserving Tibetan culture. Established in 1988 by the 14th Dalai Lama, the institute aims to protect Tibetan art, literature, and traditional practices from being lost. Named after the Dalai Lama's summer palace in Lhasa, Tibet, Norbulingka means "Jewel Park." The institute is renowned for its workshops where artisans create traditional Tibetan crafts, including thangka painting, wood carving, statue making, and appliqué. These crafts are taught and practiced in an environment that emphasizes the importance of maintaining cultural heritage. Norbulingka also features beautifully landscaped gardens, a temple, a museum, and accommodations for visitors. Norbulingka serves as a vibrant center for Tibetan art and culture, providing both a sanctuary for artists and a place where visitors can learn about and appreciate the rich traditions of Tibet. ----- 🚗 Follow my adventures on Instagram:   / sanakhangeek   Support my channel by joining:    / @sanakhan_geek   Want to collaborate or get in touch for business?
