Xilou Bridge (西螺大橋)

Xilou (西螺) is a historic township in Yunlin County along the southern bank of the Zhuoshui River. Its centerpiece is the iconic Xilou Bridge (西螺大橋), a 1,939-meter crimson steel truss bridge completed in 1952 that was celebrated at its opening as the longest bridge in the Far East. Below its soaring red spans lies a vast riverbed floodplain that erupts into rolling fields of wild silvergrass and sweet snakeweed (Saccharum spontaneum) every autumn and winter. ------------- 西螺是位於雲林縣境內、坐落於濁水溪南岸的歷史名鎮。其最具代表性的地標便是西螺大橋——這座長達 1,939 公尺的鮮紅鋼桁架橋於 1952 年完工，通車時曾被譽為「遠東第一大橋」。在宏偉的紅色橋跨之下，是一片廣袤的河灘漫灘地，每逢秋冬時節，便會開滿連綿起伏的野生芒草與甜根子草（Saccharum spontaneum）。
