Press play and lead your class through this guided five-minute drama warm-up. Students will walk through a series of environments using their pace, focus, and posture to show how the environment changes their movement. The voiceover gives students a new prompt approximately every 35 seconds and includes environments such as walking through fog and snow, as well as adapting to factors that could be indoors, like walking around while trying not to wake someone who is sleeping. Follow along as the prompts guide the group through various physical challenges. By practicing these physical theatre exercises, students learn to react to imaginary environments with specificity and intention. Use this activity to shift the energy in the room and get everyone ready to perform. No props or preparation are needed. Give students enough room to move safely, then let the prompts guide the warm-up. Use Environment Walks to help students explore how the environment helps actors make clear physical choices. 👉 Visit my website for more free resources & blog posts: 🌐 MuchADoAboutDrama.com 👉 FREE Drama Classroom Toolkit 📝https://muchadoaboutdrama.com/drama-t... 👉 Shop my ready-to-go lesson plans & activities on Teachers Pay Teachers: 🛒 https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/s... 👉 Follow along on Instagram for behind-the-scenes, quick tips & classroom inspo: 📸 @MuchAdoAboutDrama 🔔 Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for new videos every week! 🔔 ——— 🎉 Hashtags: #DramaClass #DramaTeacher #TheatreEducation #ClassroomCreativity #MuchAdoAboutDrama #TPT #TeachingResources #Edutainment #PerformingArts Thanks for watching—break a leg! 🎭✨ Subscribe for regular drama teacher resources, and comment below to let me know which warm-up game your students enjoyed the most!
