🎤 From American Idol to Home Invasion: Caleb Flynn Murder Trial - Sentencing

Caleb Flynn returns to court for sentencing after being convicted of killing his wife, 37-year-old Ashley Flynn, inside their Tipp City, Ohio home. Flynn, 40, a former American Idol contestant and worship pastor, called 911 in the early morning hours of February 16, 2026, claiming an intruder had broken into the couple’s home and shot Ashley while she slept. Their two daughters were also inside the house. Investigators rejected Flynn’s intruder story, and prosecutors presented evidence that the scene had been staged. At trial, jurors also heard extensive testimony about Flynn’s affair with Alleigha Botner and saw thousands of messages exchanged between the two, including disturbing conversations in the days and hours leading up to Ashley’s death. On September 29, 2026, the jury found Caleb Flynn guilty, including Aggravated Murder, Murder, Felonious Assault and Tampering with Evidence charges. Now Flynn faces the consequences of those convictions as Ashley’s family has an opportunity to address the court and Judge Jeannine Pratt determines his sentence. Life without the possibility of parole is among the sentences the court can impose.
