Desiree Perez, Roc Nation CEO, Featured on Telemundo’s Acceso Total

Desiree Perez was interviewed by Yessi Hernández for ‪@telemundo52‬ Accesso Total on her work as the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Roc Nation, a world-renowned entertainment organization. Desiree, born in the Bronx to Cuban immigrant parents, is a successful businesswoman who has been instrumental to Roc Nation since its founding in 2008. In the interview, she explains the thought process behind creating Roc Nation and how the original intention for the company was to support fellow co-founder JAY-Z in reaching his goals during the early stages of his career. Roc Nation then expanded its capabilities to offer the same guidance to more individuals in the music and entertainment industry, helping them become independent in music and grow their own businesses. Desiree’s leadership and commitment to working twice as hard as others have been crucial to Roc Nation’s operational strategy and evolving it into the powerhouse entertainment company it is today. Now a full-service organization with specialized offerings in sports, production, and artist and brand management, among other areas, Roc Nation continues to represent a client roster of globally recognized names, such as Alicia Keys, Rihanna, and Megan Thee Stallion. Desiree played a key role in negotiating the official partnership between Roc Nation and the National Football League (NFL), and has helped produce Super Bowl halftime shows since 2019. That same year, she was named Executive of the Year at the Billboard Women in Music Awards. A fierce advocate for social justice, Desiree expressed the importance of understanding how powerful one’s voice is when they have the platform to reach global audiences and inspire change. Carrying the learned wisdom of being grateful and humble while seeking excellence, Desiree strives to keep moving forward and opening doors for opportunities. ------------------------------------------ Learn more about Desiree Perez’s career and philanthropy: Roc Nation: https://www.rocnation.com/about/desir...
